Our Goal

Our goal is simple yet significant: to inspire individuals and communities across the United Kingdom to plant oak trees in honour of all those who lived through World War Two and in commitment to a better, greener future.

Launched in 2025, Veterans’ Oaks marks 80 years since the war’s end. As we commemorate this milestone, Veterans’ Oaks calls on the public to keep planting into 2026 – building a lasting, living memorial one tree at a time, one wood at a time. Every oak planted is a pledge: to remember with gratitude, to protect our environment, and to shape a future worth inheriting. 

We believe that remembrance can be active – and that legacy can grow. By tying personal acts of commemoration to environmental stewardship, Veterans’ Oaks offers a meaningful solution to cross-generational challenges, from historical memory to climate responsibility.
